INTRODUCTION

Scoutit is a dynamic platform that aggregates job listings and professional events from across industries and locations.

Over the years, we have built a trusted ecosystem connecting professionals with thousands of career opportunities and events worldwide. Our goal is to simplify access to verified job openings and curated events, allowing candidates to explore, engage, and apply to roles sourced from publicly available channels, all in one place.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scoutit  (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) platform, including our Platform, Scoutit and, ads, communications, events, and any other related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or other legal entity, then "you" also means such company or legal entity and you agree to be bound by these Terms even if we have a separate agreement with you. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

ELIGIBILITY

To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By accessing or using the Platform on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

 

Except as otherwise approved by us in writing, the Platform is for your personal, non-commercial use. Commercial use of the Platform, including but not limited to recruitment services or reselling content, is permitted only under a separate written agreement with us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform if we determine or reasonably suspect that eligibility requirements are not met.

ACCOUNT REGISTRATION

To access certain features of the Platform, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use or security breach. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain account security.

 

We collect and process personal data you provide during registration or through your resumes, as explained in our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you give your explicit consent for us to collect, process, and store your personal information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent or request data deletion in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

COMMUNICATIONS

By creating an account, you expressly consent to receive communications from Scoutit., its affiliates, and authorised third-party service providers. Communications may include emails, calls, text messages, push notifications, or similar channels, related to your account, job alerts, events, or other services we provide.

 

For the purposes of these Terms, “Affiliates” means any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control of or with Scoutit, now or in the future. “Control” for these purposes means having a majority of shares or the right and ability to direct management.

 

You understand that message and data rates may apply, and you may receive communications even if your number is registered on the Do Not Disturb (DND) or National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) list, as permitted by law. You can opt out of text messages by replying “STOP” and unsubscribe from non-service-related emails using the unsubscribe link in our communications. Required service communications (such as updates to our Terms) cannot be opted out of.

 

We share your information with affiliates and third-party service providers solely for operational purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 

 

To unsubscribe from non-service-related emails, please use the unsubscribe or email settings link in the email(s) you receive. If you unsubscribe only from an individual type of email communication (e.g., a particular job alert), you will continue to receive other types of emails. We may also offer a settings function via our services to manage your email preferences.

 

To turn off push notifications, use in-app and/or operating system settings on your device.

 

Your consent remains effective until you opt out or delete your account.

USE LICENSE

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content available on the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may download or print a single copy of such content solely for reference, provided that we retain all copyright and proprietary notices.

 

All intellectual property rights in the Platform and its content remain the exclusive property of Scout Inc. or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights or intellectual property interest to you.

 

License and Content Restrictions:

 

While accessing and using the Platform, You must not:

  1. Create a false identity, Impersonate, misrepresent your identity or any other information related to you, create a Member profile for anyone other than yourself (a real person), or use or attempt to use another’s account, disguise the origin of any user information;

  2. Copy, use, disclose or distribute any information obtained from the Platform, whether directly or indirectly (such as through search engines), without the consent of Scout Inc.;

  3. Violate the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights;

  4. Violate the intellectual property or other rights of Scoutit, including, without limitation, (i) copying or distributing our learning videos or other materials or (ii) copying or distributing our technology; (iii) using the word “Scoutit” or our logos in any business name, email, or URL;

  5. Post anything that contains software viruses, worms, or any other harmful code. Use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Platform;

  6. Post anything that is implicitly or explicitly offensive, derogatory or libellous, endorsing discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex or any other manner, endorsing hatred or inciting harassment;

  7. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Platform or any technology related to the Platform;

  8. Sell the data, information from the Platform or derivative works of the Platform with a commercial motive and use the Platform or its derivative works as a service bureau, without Scout Inc.’s consent;

  9. Use Platform in such a manner as to gain unauthorised entry or access to the computer systems of others;

  10. Access or attempt to access the data, system, network or servers which you are not authorised to access or test the vulnerability of such system, network or servers;

  11. Attempting to interfere with the functioning or simulating the appearance of the Platform, including, without limitation, overloading, spamming, mail bombing, framing or mirroring;

  12. Use automated methods (such as bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to access or extract data from the Platform, or use such data for training AI, analytics, or other applications without our consent.

 

Further, You agree that you will:

  1. Comply with all applicable laws, including, without limitation, privacy laws and regulatory requirements;

  2. Provide accurate information on Platform and keep it updated;

  3. Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.

 

In case of a breach of these Terms, Scout Inc. may, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform and delete your profile.

 

License to Scout Inc.

 

By using our services, and with your prior permission, you expressly grant Scout Inc. your consent to contact you through phone calls, text messages, emails, WhatsApp, or social media regarding job opportunities, updates, and related services. Such communications may be recorded for quality assurance, screening, or assessment purposes.

 

You may withdraw your consent for communication or recordings at any time through account settings or by contacting us, subject to applicable law. Scout Inc. will handle your information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

Scout Inc. may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for operational, technical, or legal reasons. The Platform is not intended as a permanent storage service. We do not guarantee continued availability or backup of any user content or data.

 

You are responsible for maintaining separate copies of any information you wish to retain. Scout Inc. shall not be liable for any loss, deletion, or unavailability of data, except as required by applicable law.

USE OF CONSUMER DATA

Scout Inc. may use aggregated, anonymised user data to enhance platform features and better serve users. Any sharing of personal data with third parties is on our instructions and solely for the purposes specified by us, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics service providers, email/SMS delivery providers, payment processors (where applicable), and customer support tools. Such Data Processors are contractually obligated to process personal data only on our behalf and in accordance with applicable law and our “Privacy Policy”. 

 

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

 

Service as an opportunities aggregator

 

The Platform provides aggregated job listings and events by collecting data from third-party sources, including but not limited to public Platforms, APIs, and partnerships with other platforms.

 

The job listings and content presented on the Platform may be protected under third-party intellectual property rights. Your use of such content is at your own risk and in accordance with any applicable laws

 

Data Aggregation Practices

  • The Platform may use automated methods (e.g., web scraping) to collect publicly available information.

  • Scout Inc. ensures that data scraping is limited to publicly accessible information and does not bypass authentication or other security measures.

  • By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that the job listings presented may originate from such practices.

Job Postings

  • The job postings and related information available on this platform are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any job posting or information provided by third parties.

  • We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of any job postings, including but not limited to, the employer's representations, the terms and conditions of employment, or the hiring process, 

  • We do not endorse any employer or job posting and are not involved in the hiring process.

  • We encourage you to research potential employers and thoroughly review any job offer before making any employment decisions.

 

Removal of Job Postings

  1. We reserve the right to remove any job posting at our sole discretion, including if we believe it violates these Terms, applicable laws, or our policies. We may also remove job postings that are inactive, outdated, or no longer relevant.

  2. Employers can write to Team Scoutit at support@scoutit.in to request the removal of a specific job posting or all job postings related to their company.

 

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Platform for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.

  2. Use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform or interfere with any other party's use of the Platform.

  3. Upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.

  4. Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity.

  5. Use any automated means, including scripts, robots, crawlers, or spiders, to access or interact with the Platform without our express written consent.

  6. Collect or store any personally identifiable information about other users of the Platform without their express consent.

  7. Use the Platform for any commercial purposes, including advertising, marketing, or solicitation, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

 

Violations may result in immediate suspension, deletion of your account or content, and reporting to the relevant authorities. You may report misuse or abuse of the Platform to our support team.

INFORMATION

You expressly agree that the resume/insertion or information/data being fed into the network of Scoutit is correct and complete in all respects and does not contain any false, distorted, manipulated, fraudulent or misleading facts. Scoutit expressly disclaims any liability arising out of the said resume insertion/information/data so fed into the network of Scoutit by the user. Further, the user agrees to indemnify Scout Inc. for all losses incurred by Scout Inc. due to any false, distorted, manipulated, defamatory, libellous, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent or misleading facts or otherwise objectionable averments made by the user on the network of Scout Inc. You agree to promptly update and correct any information that becomes false or misleading. 

LINKS

Scoutit has not reviewed all the sites linked to its Internet website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. Scout Inc. is not responsible for the content, security, or accuracy of any linked sites, and their inclusion does not imply endorsement. Use of linked sites is entirely at your own risk; we recommend reviewing their terms and privacy policies.

LEGAL DISCLOSURES

Scout Inc. shall share all such information that it has in its possession in response to legal process, such as a court order or subpoena. and in compliance with applicable data privacy laws. Scout Inc. will not participate in disputes between users and third parties facilitated through the Platform. If Scout Inc./Scoutit is made party to any legal proceedings due to user actions, it reserves the right to recover associated costs from those responsible, subject to the outcome of such proceedings and applicable law. Where permitted, users will be notified when their data is subject to legal disclosure.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The materials contained in this Platform are protected by applicable copyright and trade mark law. “Scoutit" or “Platform” means Scout Inc. (including its subsidiaries, successors and affiliates). The Platform and all content available on or through the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to use any such content without our prior written consent.

 

Disclaimers

The platform and all information, content, and materials included on or made available through the platform are provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the platform or the server that makes it available is free of viruses or other harmful components. Scout Inc. is not responsible for third-party content, communications, or technical malfunctions, and assumes no liability for user interactions with employers, advertisers, or other users.

 

You are solely responsible for your interactions with advertisers, employers, and other users, and we are not responsible for their activities, omissions, or other conduct, whether online or offline. We are not responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate, or unlawful Content (including any information in Profiles) submitted to the services, whether caused by users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the services. We assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, any communication with advertisers, employers, or other users. We are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any hardware and software due to technical problems on the internet or on the services or combination thereof, including any injury or damage to users or to any person’s device related to or resulting from participation or downloading materials in connection with the services. Under no circumstances shall we be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the services or from any Content submitted to the services or transmitted to users, or any interactions between users of the services, whether online or offline.

LIMITATION AND LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) THE USE OF OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM; OR (II) ANY UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO OR USE OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OF THE PLATFORM, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold us and our affiliates and subsidiaries and our and their respective officers, directors, board members, board advisors, employees, partners, agents successors and assignees harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising directly from or related to your use of the Platform, omissions, or conduct, including but not limited to defamation, unauthorised reproduction, distribution, sale, or scraping of proprietary data, or any attempt to disrupt, interfere with, or impair the operation, security, or functionality of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another, to the extent permitted by law. The Company reserves the right to seek fair and adequate compensation for any such damages, in addition to any other remedies available under law or equity. 

TERMINATION

Scoutit may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. Termination may result from violation of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, and Scout Inc. may delete or restrict access to your account and content as permitted by applicable law.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and any disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of India. The courts located in Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Scout Inc. may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by prominently posting the revised Terms on the Platform and updating the "Effective Date." For significant changes that adversely affect your rights, we will also attempt to notify you by email or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, and understandings, whether oral or written. These Terms are supplemented by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
